There's more than one TARDIS in the sky, and none of them are shaped like a blue box.

There are more universes out there than the Doctor's and Pete's world. There are universes where pigs fly, where daleks rules, where everyone is made out of blackcurrant jam. And there is a universe where the TimeLords survived the war.
Gallifrey is alive and kickin', though not without its drawbacks. The war council still holds sway over the planet even though most believe the daleks to be defeated. Dissent has been brewing amongst the younger generations who long for a different kind of life, and many have fled to other Gallifreyanoid planets such as Earth.
Earth is not at ease itself. UNIT has begun a campaign of violence against all aliens, held in check only by Torchwood, which is weakening under the constant fighting. Is Earth still safe for otherworlders?
